Just north of the Minnesota border near Crane Lake, MN is a little-known climbing paradise called Jeff’s World. For the past 15 years, Jeff Engel has wandered out into the remote wilderness to develop cliff lines for rock climbing spotted by his father from a floatplane. Adventure Minnesota Films followed Jeff and his friends on a whirlwind 10-day adventure to capture the beauty and essence of this magical place. br> Here you will find clips of raw footage filmed in the fall of 2015. The Arrowhead 135 Ultra is notorious for extreme conditions and has been called one of the 50 toughest races on the planet. The combination of cold, challenging terrain and lack of sleep participants encounter conquer even the most hardy and experienced racers. Strength and endurance alone does not ensure a finish. The Arrowhead 135 requires experience, patience, fortitude and will. All to arrive at a finish line that may not have anyone present to applaud the accomplishment. The Arrowhead 135 is the telling of their story and a glimpse of the trail that lures elite athletes to Minnesota from around the world.
Adventure Minnesota Films is currently producing Among the Wild, a short independent film series that will profile local athletes in fierce pursuit of outdoor adventure sports in Minnesota. Among the Wild is a passion project envisioned and created by a team of individuals that simply love the outdoors and film. The original teaser was created in 2012 to help seek nominations for talent.
